How to Solve Blue Screen Problem of Windows Embedded Industrial Panel PCs?

May 7, 2025     Troubleshooting

In the previous article, we mentioned that the blue screen problem of Windows embedded industrial panel PCs is not common, but once it occurs, it may affect our normal industrial production process. In order to help OAI users better use Windows embedded industrial panel PCs, we provide the following methods to help you solve the blue screen problem of Windows embedded industrial panel PCs.

1. Sometimes it is just a program or driver of the Windows embedded industrial panel PC that makes a mistake, and it may be normal after restarting.

2. For newly installed Windows embedded industrial panel PCs, if there is a blue screen problem, you should check and upgrade the BIOS to the latest version, and turn off the memory-related items, such as cache and mapping. If the motherboard BIOS cannot support large-capacity hard drives, it will also cause a blue screen, and it needs to be upgraded.

3. Sometimes we should check whether the hardware such as memory is plugged in firmly. This problem, which is ignored by many people, often causes many inexplicable failures. If it is confirmed that there is no problem, unplug it, try another slot, and install the latest driver. At the same time, check whether the hardware is compatible with the operating system by comparing it with the hardware compatibility category on the Microsoft website. If your hardware is not in the table, then go to the hardware manufacturer's website to check, or call their consultation number.

4. If you have just installed a new driver for a piece of hardware or installed a piece of software, and it has added corresponding items to the system service (such as antivirus software, CPU cooling software, firewall software, etc.), and a blue screen failure occurs during restart or use, please go to safe mode to uninstall or disable them.

5. Generally, the blue screen appears after updating the hardware driver or adding new hardware and installing its driver. At this time, the "Last known correct configuration" provided by Windows operating system is a shortcut to solve the blue screen. Restart the system, press the F8 key when the boot menu appears, and the advanced boot options menu will appear, then select "Last known correct configuration".

6. Check for viruses. For example, viruses such as Shockwave and Oscillator can sometimes cause a blue screen on Windows embedded industrial panel PCs, so it is essential to check and kill the virus. At the same time, some Trojan spyware can also cause a blue screen, so it is best to use related tools to scan and check.

7. Some blue screens are caused by defects in Windows itself, so they can be solved by installing the latest system patches and service packs.

In order to prevent blue screen problems on Windows embedded industrial panel PCs, the OAI team recommends that you should regularly maintain and update the system, clean up dust and check the hardware status, do not use pirated software, prevent virus damage, and develop the habit of regularly backing up important data.
